Promoting a waitee

Not only can you invite waitees to self-book, you also have the ability of promoting them yourself, converting the waitee into a fully qualified customer that you can book into a class.

This can only be done from your generic waiting list page and not from a classes Qualifying Waitees list to avoid any confusion of being able to promote them straight into a class, which isn't possible.

Simply select the Promote waitee option from the waitee drop-down menu.

Based on how the waitee has been created and the existing user accounts on DoDays, there are three scenarios to cover when promoting waitees.

Promoting a waitee to a brand new customer account

For the most part, you will be promoting waitees who have never used DoDays before, and therefore a new customer account will be created for them using the information held as a waitee.

Upon promoting this waitee they will be automatically removed from the waiting list, and you will be taken straight to the new customer account where you can proceed with booking them into a class.

Promoting a waitee that already has a DoDays account

In some instances, you might find that someone on your waiting list already has a DoDays account based on the waitees email address.

When you promote this waitee, the information held against your waitee will be merged with the existing customer account, with priority being given to the existing customer account.

After promoting, the waitee will be removed from your waiting list and you will be granted access to the existing customer account where you can proceed with booking them into a class.

Promoting one of your existing customers

If you have someone on your waiting list that is an existing customer of yours, you won't be able to use the promote waitee feature as this is redundant based on them already having a customer account.

Therefore, you will either need to invite them to self-book, or, if you were to book the same student that's waiting into a class yourself, this waitee will be automatically removed from your waiting list.
