Making the most of custom fields
As well as holding customer information on ActiveCampaign, custom fields allow you to sync student information too, and subsequently offers you a great way of tracking changes and automating your marketing channel based on this information.
Each student that is booked onto one of your classes is added to their customers contact on ActiveCampaign, with a maximum of 10 students per contact allowed. There’s 4 pieces of information we keep in sync for each student.
The Student Name custom Field
Nice and easy to start, the students name, which can be used to personalise your communications. If this changes on DoDays we make sure this is reflected on ActiveCampaign.
The Sudent DOB Custom Field
If a date of birth has been provided for the student on DoDays this will also be added to the ActiveCampaign contact. This is useful if you’d like to automate some Happy Birthday messages, and just like the name this is updated on ActiveCampaign if changed on DoDays.
The Student Working Towards Custom Field
If you use stages to track your students progression through a learning framework, then the Working Towards field will always represent the stage they are currently assigned on DoDays.
This field is updated when you change or remove a stage from a student, therefore, can be useful to communicate to your customers the goals a student might be working on at their next session.
The Student Last Stage Awarded Custom Field
As above, if you run a learning framework this field is handy to keep track of the last stage that was awarded to a student. This field is updated the moment you award a stage/badge to a student, ideal for sending communications relating to progression.
