Duplicating a term
To make life easier when migrating to a new term you have the ability to duplicate an entire term of classes, and optionally the active bookings in these classes as well. To get started select the Duplicate term option from the terms drop-down menu.
Giving your term a name
When duplicating a term first you need to name your new term, you can read more about our recommendations on naming terms in the Creating a term article.
Schedules
When duplicating a term schedules are grouped on a per venue basis, and by default all your venues will be set to run on the first schedule.
Creating a schedule
To create your first schedule you must supply a start and end date which dictates the session dates applied to this schedule. These will appear, organised by day of the week, once a valid start and end date is provided.
To complete your schedule at least one venue must be selected, by default the first schedule is populated with all your venues. You can add and remove venues using the drop-down menu at the bottom of the schedule.
Excluding dates from the schedule
If you wish to remove a session date from a schedule, maybe due to a bank holiday, simply click the date in blue and this will remove that date from the schedule.
In this example Monday 1st February 2021 will be excluded from any class generated in the new term running at the selected venues for that schedule.
Creating multiple schedules
Term duplication now also gives you the option of creating multiple schedules on a per venue basis. This can be useful if, for example, you run sessions through half terms and holidays at one venue, but at another venue you don't.
To add another schedule to the duplication click the Add another schedule button underneath your last schedule and follow the same instructions on creating a schedule above.
Here's an example of how creating a different schedule for multiple venues might look, the first venue runs every day in January and February, however, at venue two sessions won't run for the first week in February.
If you decide you don't want to include a previously built schedule in the duplication anymore, you can remove it by clicking the Remove schedule button. When doing so, don't forget to add any venues that were being used to another schedule if you wish to include it's classes in the duplication.
Bookings
Finally, you have the option of including, or excluding, active bookings from this duplication. To exclude active bookings just leave both the "Include ONLY subscription bookings?" and "Include ALL bookings?" options unticked.
If you wish to include active bookings in term duplication you have the option of either including ALL active bookings regardless of the payment method, or only the active bookings which are being paid for by subscription. Simply choose the relevant option that suits your needs.
PLEASE NOTE
Daily ran classes aren't included in term duplication, these will need to be created manually after duplication has finished.
