Customise Bacs branding
Bacs is the payment mechanism used to process bank and direct debit payments on DoDays through Stripe.
By default, when Stripe processes Bacs payments they will appear as Stripe on your customers' bank account.
If you'd like to customise this statement descriptor you'll need to configure Bacs Custom Branding through your Stripe account, which costs £50 per month.
To configure customer branding, first sign in to your Stripe account and navigate to Settings (cog in the top right) and select Payment methods under Payments:
Next, click Edit settings under Your account:
The payment methods available on DoDays for your account are controlled by the DoDays platform account, therefore, you'll need to select DoDays from the Select your platform drop-down and then click the manual settings page:
You will now see a list of payment methods enabled for your account on DoDays that you can customise. Click Configure for the Bacs Direct Debit payment method:
In order to enable custom branding ensure the Upgrade Option is selected, this confirms you will incur a £50 monthly fee, and click Next:
Enter your Business Display Name, this is limited to 8 characters and will be used on your customers bank statements, and click Next:
Finally, confirm you accept the statements presented on the final screen by selecting the checkbox and click Customise:
You should then receive on-screen confirmation custom branding is in the process of being configured:
Once Stripe have completed setting up custom Bacs branding on your account you will receive email confirmation, and any mandate created after this point will use your new Business Display Name.
